The Spotlight Series showcases NBSAP Accelerator Partnership members and suppliers who actively accelerate the implementation of National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) under the Global Biodiversity Framework. Each feature examines specific capabilities, experience, and implementation approaches, and how these align with needs and implementation gaps identified by countries.
While governments write NBSAPs, non-state actors, including Indigenous Peoples, local communities, women’s organizations, youth networks, and the private sector, are among the ones who can successfully deliver them. Side events at SBSTTA-28 & SBI-7 showed what sustained engagement and implementation can look like.
