A feature story on how South–South cooperation is moving Vanuatu’s NBSAP from policy to action.
On 14-15 May 2026, the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership participated in the BIODEV2030 Legacy Workshop in Nairobi, convened by IUCN and Kenya’s Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry. The event highlighted the direct link between BIODEV2030’s work on biodiversity mainstreaming and the Partnership’s support to Kenya in operationalizing its National Biodiversity Coordination Mechanism.
The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership and the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People collaborated on a country-to-country Knowledge Exchange addressing a shared request for support on operationalising Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures (OECMs) and meeting Target 3 of the Global Biodiversity Framework.
Ecuador marked the official designation of its in-country Facilitator under the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership with an event aimed at mobilising its 2025 National Biodiversity Strategy.
A high-level Donor Roundtable in Nairobi brought together bilateral, multilateral, and philanthropic partners to explore coordinated financing for a pipeline of investment-ready projects targeting Kenya’s terrestrial and coastal ecosystems, including mangroves and ASAL landscapes.
