MatchMaking Mechanism
El Salvador accepted a match through the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership’s MatchMaking Mechanism.
During days 2 and 3 of the Vanuatu–Galápagos Knowledge Exchange Mission, the delegation engaged in technical sessions and field visits with key conservation authorities and scientific institutions in the Galápagos Islands. The exchange provided practical insights for Vanuatu’s work toward developing a national Green Levy under its NBSAP 2026–2030 framework.
A delegation from the Republic of Vanuatu is visiting Quito and the Galápagos Islands for a knowledge exchange on biodiversity conservation finance, facilitated by the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership. Over eight days, the delegation is exploring Ecuador’s flagship financing mechanisms as it looks to advance its own biodiversity financing roadmap.
As biodiversity commitments continue to outpace implementation, 22 national and regional facilitators gathered in Nairobi to strengthen capacity, deepen collaboration, and sign a joint declaration reaffirming their commitment to accelerating NBSAP implementation worldwide.
Colombia brought together five government ministries in a whole-of-government workshop to advance implementation of its National Biodiversity Plan. The session, supported by the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership, focused on developing sector-specific project ideas aligned with Colombia’s six national targets and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership and the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People collaborated on a country-to-country Knowledge Exchange addressing a shared request for support on operationalising Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures (OECMs) and meeting Target 3 of the Global Biodiversity Framework.
Ecuador marked the official designation of its in-country Facilitator under the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership with an event aimed at mobilising its 2025 National Biodiversity Strategy.
