David Githaiga is a national facilitator with the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership, supporting Kenya in advancing implementation of the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and strengthening coordination across biodiversity-related policies and actors. With 22 years of experience in biodiversity policy and sustainable development, David has worked with UN agencies, bilateral donors, government institutions, civil society, Indigenous Peoples, local community groups, and academia to support inclusive, country-driven planning processes. In this role, David supports national coordination processes, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building activities to help translate global biodiversity commitments into practical, context-specific action at national and subnational levels.
