Gonzalo Griebenow is the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership National Facilitator for Panama, supporting implementation of the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and advancing the country’s Nature Pledge. He has over 15 years of experience in biodiversity conservation, climate policy and sustainable development across Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa, working with governments, Indigenous Peoples, multilateral development banks and UN agencies. Gonzalo has led and supported GCF, AF and GEF-financed climate and biodiversity initiatives, facilitated multi-stakeholder coordination, and contributed to policy and project design. His work focuses on strengthening institutional coordination, mobilizing finance and translating global commitments into practical, country-led action. Through his current role, he supports technical processes, partnerships and capacity building to accelerate delivery of national biodiversity priorities and inclusive conservation outcomes.
