Kylychev Kumar is a National Facilitator with the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership, supporting the Republic of Kazakhstan to advance implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and strengthen coordination across biodiversity-related policies and stakeholders. He brings over 22 years of sustainable development experience, including biodiversity policy, natural resource management, climate change, sustainable energy, IWRM, WaSH, emergency response and sustainable finance. Kumar has worked with government institutions, civil society, local communities, academia, the private sector, and UN agencies at national and international levels.

In this role, he supports high-level coordination and alignment of national biodiversity priorities with the GBF, convenes and engages stakeholders to build shared ownership and partnerships, and provides technical inputs to help translate global commitments into practical actions, including support to capacity-building and resource mobilization where relevant.
