The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership participated in the national workshop for the development of Ecuador’s Seventh National Report on the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The workshop brought together a wide range of actors to exchange information, experiences, and perspectives relevant to national biodiversity planning. It was organized by UNDP Ecuador and the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MAE) within the framework of the programme supporting the updating of NBSAPs and the preparation of Seventh National Reports.
The event served as an important platform for strengthening national capacities and enhancing collaboration among institutions, technical experts, and stakeholders involved in biodiversity governance. Participants gained a clearer understanding of the tools, methodologies, and processes required for both the effective updating of Ecuador’s NBSAP and the preparation of the Seventh National Report. These exchanges contribute to more coordinated national implementation of the CBD and stronger alignment with global reporting commitments.
