World Biodiversity Forum 2026
NBSAP Accelerator Partnership | Event
14-19 June 2026 | Davos, Switzerland
Under the theme “Leading Transformation Together,” the fourth edition of the World Biodiversity Forum will take place in Davos from 14-19 June 2026. The forum will convene participants across sectors and generations to explore actionable solutions to biodiversity loss and interconnected planetary crises affecting planetary health and social justice.
The meeting will focus on co-developing biodiversity-positive futures, addressing underlying social and cultural drivers of environmental degradation, and strengthening just and equitable structures and practices. It will also support implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework by bringing together science, arts, society, and business to build leadership and networks for transformation.
The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership is a country-led initiative that supports the implementation of National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) to collectively achieve the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Co-chaired by Colombia and Germany, it is supported by the governments of Germany, Norway, Canada and France, and implemented by a Global Coordination Unit hosted by UNEP, UNDP, and the Secretariat of the CBD.
