27th meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice
Panama City, Panama | 20-24 October 2025
The 27th meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA-27) of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) will be hosted by the Government of Panama at the Atlapa Convention Center. SBSTTA-27 will take place back-to-back with the first meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Article 8(j) (27–30 October 2025).
Regional consultations are scheduled for 19 October, with an information workshop on recent IPBES assessments on 18 October. These meetings will provide scientific and technical input to support implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).

The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership is a country-led initiative that supports the implementation of NBSAPs to collectively achieve the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. It is co-chaired by Colombia and Germany, supported by the governments of Germany, Norway, Canada and France, and coordinated by a Global Coordination Unit hosted by the Secretariat of the CBD, UNDP and UNEP.
