The subregional dialogue for Latin American countries on biodiversity monitoring and reporting will take place in Bogotá with a dedicated focus on ecosystem restoration under Target 2 of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The meeting will bring together national focal points and experts from across the region to strengthen monitoring capacity and advance preparations for the Seventh National Reports.
The agenda will cover the monitoring framework for the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, fundamentals of Target 2, and the use of geospatial tools to track restoration efforts. Discussions will also address national action plans for monitoring and reporting, subregional priorities for ecosystem restoration, and a training-of-trainers session for technical and scientific cooperation centres.

The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership is a country-led initiative that supports the implementation of NBSAPs to collectively achieve the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. It is co-chaired by Colombia and Germany, supported by the governments of Germany, Norway, Canada and France, and coordinated by a Global Coordination Unit hosted by the Secretariat of the CBD, UNDP and UNEP.
