CBD subregional dialogue on biodiversity monitoring and reporting for selected Caribbean countries
Paramaribo, Suriname | 2-4 December 2025
The subregional dialogue on biodiversity monitoring and reporting for selected countries in the Caribbean will take place in Paramaribo. The meeting will support national efforts to advance implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and prepare for the Seventh National Reports.
Discussions will address the revision and updating of National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans, development of national monitoring plans and systems, and use of indicators aligned with the monitoring framework of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The agenda also includes guidance for preparing national reports, identifying next steps, and strengthening coordination at national and regional levels.

The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership is a country-led initiative that supports the implementation of NBSAPs to collectively achieve the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. It is co-chaired by Colombia and Germany, supported by the governments of Germany, Norway, Canada and France, and coordinated by a Global Coordination Unit hosted by the Secretariat of the CBD, UNDP and UNEP.
