The COP 30 side-event Nature in 2035 NDCs: catalyzing synergistic action for nature will take place at theBlue Zone, Nature Hub Pavilion and is co-organized by Nature4Climate, UNDP, and the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership. The session will explore how countries are increasing ambition in their 2035 NDCs through nature-based solutions and strengthening coherence with biodiversity and land priorities.
Discussions will highlight global insights on nature in NDCs, the scientific and economic rationale for alignment, and country experiences integrating nature across mitigation, adaptation, loss and damage, and access to climate finance. The event will also examine how enhanced policy coherence across the Rio Conventions can support implementation and long-term resilience.

The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership is a country-led initiative that supports the implementation of NBSAPs to collectively achieve the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. It is co-chaired by Colombia and Germany, supported by the governments of Germany, Norway, Canada and France, and coordinated by a Global Coordination Unit hosted by the Secretariat of the CBD, UNDP and UNEP.
