NBSAP Accelerator Partnership | Events

February 10, 2026

Nairobi, Kenya | 04-12 August 2026

The seventh meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI-7) of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) will take place in Nairobi from 4–12 August 2026. The meeting will review progress in implementing the Convention and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework ahead of the seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17), to be held in Armenia later this year.

SBI-7 will focus on reviewing implementation progress, identifying strategic actions to strengthen delivery, advancing means of implementation, and addressing operational matters related to the Convention and its Protocols. The meeting will also consider the draft Global Report on Collective Progress, helping shape the global response to achieving the KMGBF by 2030.

Throughout SBI-7, the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership will work with countries, partners and members to strengthen implementation pathways, share practical experience, and connect implementation needs with technical and financial support.
