The seventh session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7) will take place at UNEP headquarters under the theme “Advancing sustainable solutions for a resilient planet.” The meeting will bring together Member States, observers, and stakeholders to accelerate effective responses for a safer, more resilient and inclusive world.
Discussions will focus on strengthening environmental governance, promoting sustainable and efficient resource use, and advancing actions that support healthy ecosystems and long-term planetary resilience. The session will also highlight the role of inclusive decision-making and the human right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment in delivering the Sustainable Development Goals.

The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership is a country-led initiative that supports the implementation of NBSAPs to collectively achieve the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. It is co-chaired by Colombia and Germany, supported by the governments of Germany, Norway, Canada and France, and coordinated by a Global Coordination Unit hosted by the Secretariat of the CBD, UNDP and UNEP.
