Nairobi, Kenya | 8-12 December 2025

The seventh session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7) will take place at UNEP headquarters under the theme “Advancing sustainable solutions for a resilient planet.” Governments and stakeholders will gather to address global environmental challenges and set priorities for collective action.

UNEA-7 will be preceded by the seventh meeting of the Open-ended Committee of Permanent Representatives (OECPR-7) from 1–5 December 2025.

The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership is a country-led initiative that supports the implementation of NBSAPs to collectively achieve the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. It is co-chaired by Colombia and Germany, supported by the governments of Germany, Norway, Canada and France, and coordinated by a Global Coordination Unit hosted by the Secretariat of the CBD, UNDP and UNEP.
