The Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) is a global initiative designed to address the significant challenge of financing biodiversity conservation, now being implemented across 133 countries.

The BIP Support to National Monitoring initiative (2023 – 2030) will enhance national monitoring of implementation of the Kunming – Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The initiative links to the Goal 2 of the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership.

GEF funding is provided by participating donor countries and made available to developing countries and countries with economies in transition to meet the objectives of international environmental conventions and agreements.
