The seventh meeting of the CBD Subsidiary Body on Implementation will convene in Nairobi to review progress toward the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework ahead of COP 17 in Armenia.
COP 17 of the Convention on Biological Diversity will convene in Yerevan, Armenia, marking a critical milestone for the global review of progress under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The meeting will also include the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety MOP and the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-Sharing MOP, making it a defining moment for international biodiversity governance ahead of the 2030 deadline.

The NBSAP Accelerator Partnership’s recent contribution to the ABS capacity-building webinar series highlighted how countries can advance the Nagoya Protocol and deliver Goal C and Target 13 of the Global Biodiversity Framework through stronger legal, institutional, and capacity-building measures within their NBSAPs.
